Ajman University is proud to announce that graduates from its College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) will benefit from a more straightforward path to certification by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC). Starting May 13, 2025, PEBC’s updated guidelines exempt graduates of internationally accredited programs or institutions with comparable licensing and practice standards from the evaluation exam, allowing them to proceed directly to the qualifying exam.

Thanks to the ACPE International Accreditation held by Ajman University’s COPHS, our graduates are eligible for this streamlined certification process. This accreditation underscores the quality and rigor of our pharmacy programs, aligning them with some of the world’s leading pharmacy schools.

Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, while commenting on this significant development, said, “This marks an important milestone for our graduates aiming to build pharmacy careers in Canada. It is a strong endorsement of our educational standards and expands global opportunities for our students, while upholding the highest levels of professional excellence.”

This adjustment eases the licensing journey for qualified international graduates to practice in Canada, without compromising the profession’s standards or integrity.

The achievement reflects the growing international recognition of our pharmacy program and reinforces our dedication to supporting the global success of our graduates.
